Feb 2007 - Ferrari to Rio

Producers of a forthcoming television commercial recently hired Hallett Silbermann to transport Michael Schumacher's original 1997 Ferrari F310B from the Cotswolds to Heathrow Airport for onward transportation to Rio de Janeiro.

The Birmingham operation of Hallett Silbermann provided a specialist crane-mounted vehicle to transport the motor car once it had been uplifted into a purpose-built air cargo shipping container. The Ferrari racing car was then taken at a relatively sedate 56 miles per hour down the M40 motorway before arriving alongside the aircraft for 'airside ' loading prior to commencement of the long flight to South America.

Hallett Silbermann provided special insurance cover of £1 million for this unique and valuable load, which was safely delivered on time.
