Hardly Weather for Boating
January 2011
During some of the worst winter weather in decades to hit the London area, Hallett Silbermann undertook the transportation of one of the larger loads we have moved – a brand new 32M motor yacht manufactured by Princess Yachts International Plc.

The vessel, at 32 metres long and over 13 metres high, was transported by Hallett Silbermann from the Royal Victoria Dock to inside the adjacent ExCel Exhibition Hall in preparation for the 2011 Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show.
Having been lifted from the adjacent River Thames by a 1000 ton lifting capacity crane with a boom reach of over 43 metres, the laden vehicle, with a gross weight of 150 tonnes, was carefully steered in freezing cold and wintry conditions through the enormous South Hall exhibition doors with just millimetres to spare, and positioned safely in the the new boardwalk arena section.
The 32m "super yacht", making its world debut at the Boat Show, is a hugely impressive vessel and the largest boat to ever be displayed inside the halls of the ExCel centre.
Hallett Silbermann are proud to have been able to demonstrate their renowned heavy haulage and logistical skills in undertaking this complicated manoeuvre to satisfactorily position the yacht for the Boat Show
